A scientist on a creative journey

Each piece begins with a question. Through systematic experimentation, testing and refinement, I explore how material, form and firing come together to find an answer.

My background in biotechnology shapes the way I approach ceramics. I work through observation and iteration, treating the studio as a place of research where ideas are tested, unexpected results become discoveries, and each firing provides new information which guides my creativity.

The result is a growing body of functional ceramics that balances precision with the natural variation of the material. Rather than seeking perfect uniformity, I embrace the subtle differences that emerge through the process, making each piece both intentional and unique.
